2025 BMW M5 performance sedan launched in India at INR 1,99,00,000

BMW India has launched the 2025 BMW M5, a high-performance luxury sedan, priced at INR 1,99,00,000 (ex-showroom). This marks the entry of the third 5-series sedan in India after the recenlty launched 5-series and the i5 electric.

BMW M5 Key Features and Upgrades

The new M5 retains its iconic performance legacy while embracing modern technology. It features adaptive LED headlights, a reimagined BMW kidney grille with a modern black high-gloss finish, and lightweight elements like the M Carbon Roof to enhance aerodynamics. The sedan also boasts 20-inch front and 21-inch rear alloy wheels for an aggressive stance.

Inside, the M5 offers M multifunction seats for ultimate comfort and support, an M-specific flat-bottomed steering wheel, and a BMW Curved Display for both the cluster and infotainment system. The interior is further enhanced with M-specific ambient lighting and a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system.

Performance and Driving Modes

The seventh-generation M5 is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that combines a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined power output of 727 bhp and 1,000 Nm of torque.

The M5 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h, which can be extended to 305 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package. The vehicle offers three driving modes: Hybrid, Electric, and eControl, allowing for versatile driving experiences.

Priced at INR 1,99,00,000, the 2025 BMW M5 is positioned as a premium offering in the high-performance sedan segment. It competes with other luxury sedans like the Mercedes-AMG C 63, which is priced slightly lower at INR 1,95,00,000.
