Tata Motors has launched the 2024 update for the popular Punch SUV in the Indian market. The Tata Punch comes with a price tag of just INR 6.12 lakh ex-showroom. Tata is offering the new Punch with premium features which includes Sunroof. Yes, the Indian audience love sunroofs in their car and now the 2024 Punch is being offered with a sunroof. However, that’s not it, the Punch is also offering several other features including a segment-first touchscreen infotainment system.
Tata will be offering the new Punch SUV in 10 variants. The variant line up includes Pure and Pure (O), in the entry level. Adventure, Adventure Rhythm, Adventure S, Adventure+ S, in the mid-spec and Accomplished+, Accomplished+ S, Creative+ and Creative+ S win the top-spec. While the Punch starts at INR 6.12 lakh ex-showroom, the top-of-the-line Punch costs around INR 9.44 lakh ex-showroom.
Along with the electric sunroof, the new Punch also comes with features such as a new 10.25-inch infotainment system which claims to be a segment-first. Also, the new infotainment system boasts of getting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Along with this the new Punch also gets a C-type USB charging port as well as a wireless smartphone charger. The Punch also comes with rear AC vents to keep the rear occupants comfortable.
What remains unchanged is the powertrain of the new Punch. The engine is the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol unit that produces 87 Hp of power and 115 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The brand also offers the Tata Punch with a CNG bi-fuel options, which is particularly attractive to city dwellers, thanks to its high efficiency. In the Indian market, the Tata Punch directly rivals with the likes of the Hyundai Exter and Citroen C3.
