The Japan New Car Assessment Programme has revealed that the 2024 Suzuki Swift has received a 4 star rating for safety. The overall points the Swift scored is 90% (177.80 / 197 points). For preventive safety performance the car has received 99% (88.70 points / 89 points). In addition to this, the 2024 received 81% (81.10 points / 100 points) for the collision safety performance. Furthermore, Japan NCAP also introduced “Vehicle Safety Performance 2023,” which evaluates accidents with pedestrians. While the Japan-spec Swift is armed to its teeth with safety features such as ADAS and Multiple Airbags. Moreover it gets ‘Dual Sensor Brake Support II’ incorporating a millimeter-wave radar and a monocular camera. ADAS features also includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Electronic Park Brakes, Brake Hold Function, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Monitoring System with Drowsiness Detection and Adaptive High Beam System.
The India-spec version may not get all the safety features. However, the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is likely to come with multiple airbags, parking sensors, and other mandatory features. We also expect the higher-spec variants of the Swift to get at least a camera based ADAS system.
The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is likely to make its debut in the Indian market in May 2024. The new Swift is likely to come with a new engine which could be the 1.2-litre Z-Series Petrol engine. The motor is capable of producing 83 Bhp of power and 108 Nm of torque and is likely to come with hybrid assist.
