2024 Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 seen in gaudy livery at service centre

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has been in the news for quite sometime now. First some teaser videos and then the social media campaign where RE called out the so called “copycats”. We have finally stumbled upon some spyshots that reveal the bike without any Camoflauge. Let’s take a closer look.

The Spyshot

The spyshot is from a dealership where the Guerrilla was being used to train the technicians for service and maintenance. This particular motorcycle is sporting a gaudy yellow-black livery. This also hints that the Guerrilla might be offered in funky colour combinations to appeal to the youth. Along with the standard colours we might see some dual-tone combinations as well.

The design seems to be more modern that the classic Royal Enfields. The tanks especially is completely redesigned for the Guerilla. It also sports an exposed frame coloured in black along with the engine in the same shade. The single seat is scooped out at the rider side meaning better ergonomics for short riders. The Guerrilla also seems to have borrowed the exhaust from the Himalayan 452. We can also see that the RSU telescopic forks are covered with gaiters. The Guerrilla also boasts of alloy wheels with road-focussed tubeless tyres. Overall, the motorcycle looks like a larger and funkier version of the Hunter 350.

Powertrain

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will sport the same Sherpa 450 engine that we have seen on the Himalayan 452. However, given it’s roadster nature, it will be tuned differently. So expect the power and torque figures to be different. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. It is a single-cylinder unit with liquid cooling. It has been very responsive and refined on the Himalayan, we expect it to be the same on the Guerrilla as well.

Launch and Pricing

The Guerrilla 450 will be launched on July 17 and is expected to be priced around INR 2.5 lakh. This will put it in direct competition with the Triumph Speed 400.
