The 3-row SUV is likely to come with large dimensions as well as a price tag of around INR 40-45 lakh ex-showroom, as it is likely to come via the more expensive CBU route. Nissan X-Trail Vs. Toyota Fortuner – Powertrain

The Nissan X-Trail is likely to come with a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with a 12V mild hybrid system. The engine produces 165 Hp of power and 300 Nm of torque paired to an electric CVT gearbox. On the other hand, the petrol variant of the Fortuner comes with a 2.7-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 166 PS of power and 245 Nm of torque. With the petrol powertrain, the Fortuner is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission. However, the Toyota Fortuner also comes with a diesel powertrain with a 2.8-litres of displacement and a variable nozzle turbocharger. The oil motor produces 204 PS of power and 420 Nm of torque on the manual transmission and 500 Nm of torque on the automatic transmission option.

In terms of size, the Nissan X-Trail is likely to measure in at 4,680mm in length, 1,840mm in width, 1,725mm in height, and has a ground clearance of 210mm and a 2,705mm wheelbase. Compare this to the Fortuner, the SUV measure 4795 mm in length, 1855 mm in width and 1835 mm in height. The Fortuner also comes with a wheelbase of 2745mm, making it larger wider and taller that the Nissan X-Trail. Both the Nissan X-Trail and the Toyota Fortuner come with 7-seats.

In terms of features, the Nissan X-Trail is likely to come with LED headlamp and tail lamps, a dual pane panoramic sunroof, a dual zone climate control system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8-inch driver’s instruments cluster. In addition to this, the SUV is also likely to come with Level2 ADAS features to enhance the safety of the occupants. The Toyota Fortuner also gets LED headlamps and tail lamps as well as ventilated front seats, a large multifunction TFT display, an Optitron Cool-Blue Combimeter with Chrome Accents and Illumination Control, and multiple connected features. The SUV also comes with active and passive safety features such as Vehicle Stability Control, Brake Assist, 7 airbags, however, ADAS features are still missing.
