2024 MG Comet EV now available with fast charging

MG has announced the popular Comet EV will now come with Fast Charging option. The brand is introducing the MG Comet Excite FC and Exclusive FC in the Indian market. The Comet Excite FC comes with a price tag of INR 8.23 lakh ex-showroom. On the other hand, the Comet Exclusive FC comes with a price tag of INR 9.13 lakh ex-showroom.

MG Comet – Features

Furthermore, the brand also revealed that the MG Comet also gets advanced safety features. These include an Electronic Parking Brake, Electronic Stability Control, Rear Disc Brakes and Hill-Hold Control. The Comet EV also comes with features such as a power foldable ORVM, turn indicator integrated DRL, Creep mode and a body-colored ORVM. The electric vehicle now also comes with AC Fast Charging options which were not available before.

MG Comet – Technical Specifications

Powering the MG Comet is a 42 PS / 110 Nm rear-axle mounted electric motor. The motor is coupled to a 17.3 kWh battery pack. The power unit claims to offer a range of 230 km on a single charge. With its on-board charger, which is a 3.3 kW unit, the MG Comet takes 5 hours to charge from 10-80% state-of-charge. In terms of size, the MG Comet measures 2,974mm in length, 1,505mm in width, and 1,640mm in height. The compact EV also gets a 2010mm of wheelbase and comes with 12-inch wheels.

MG Comet – Safety and Warranty

MG also offers the Comet EV with an 8-year/1.2 lakh km warranty on the battery and 3-year/1 lakh km vehicle warranty. The electric vehicle also comes with 3-years Roadside Assistance and 3 labour-free services. The MG Comet comes with Dual Front Airbags, ABS + EBD, Reverse Parking Camera and Sensors, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ISOFIX Rear Child Seat Anchors etc.

Recently, MG also revised its price list which gave the MG Comet a hefty discount of INR 100,000/- on the ex-showroom price. The MG Comet EV now starts at just INR 6.99 lakh ex-showroom.
