2024 MG Astor facelift fully revealed before launch

Mg Motor India could be planning to introduce the new 2024 MG Astor SUV in the Indian market. Images of the facelift model have leaked on the internet which reveals its exterior details and also gives us a peak into its interiors. MG has not yet announced when the new Astor will be launched in India, however, the car could be introduced this festive season.

MG Astor – Exterior Design

On the outside, the new MG Astor facelift is likely to come with a redesigned bumper and new headlamps. The bumper appears prominent than before and integrates the radiator grille which features a diamond mesh. The front bumper also features large fog lamp surrounds and a prominent splitter with a silver finish. The headlamp units have been reprofiled for 2024 and appear to get projector lamps as well as black inserts.

The headlamp unit is also likely to integrate an LED DRL. The rear of the car features a new bumper and an integrated roof spoiler. The SUV also gets taillamps similar to the outgoing model, however, the inserts appear to be new. The car is also likely to come with a spoiler integrated stop lamp and rear wash wipe. Furthermore, the 2024 MG Astor is also likely to come with new design alloy wheels.

MG Astor – Interior Design

On the inside, MG is likely to offer an all-black cabin along with dual screens. The steering wheels appears to come with three spokes and gets controls mounted on it. The centre console also appears new and features a new gear lever and electronic parking brake.

MG Astor – Powertrain

Details of the powertrain are currently scarce, but the current Astor comes with two powertrain options. A 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 108 Bhp of power and 144 nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual of a CVT gearbox. Another option is the 1.3-litre turbo-petrol motor producing 138 Hp of power and 220 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed Automatic gearbox. MG is likely to retain the powertrain from the current Astor.
