We already know that the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift will be launched next month. This means that the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire too is just round the corner. The new Dzire could get a host of features that surpass its hatchback counterpart.
The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is not just a sedan version of the Swift. It carries its own identity, sporting a design distinct from the Swift. The new Dzire gets a slightly different grille and bumper design, while the sedan’s headlights will be sleeker compared to the Swift. Unique features may include a new rear end, distinctive bumpers, alloy wheels, and possibly different headlamps.
The Dzire’s interior also could see significant upgrades. The sedan will get an updated cabin. One of the major interior updates will be a single-pane sunroof, which will be a first for Maruti Suzuki and in the segment. The Dzire is expected to come equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a wireless phone charger.
Its safety kit could include up to six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and hill-hold assist4. These features are expected to provide a safe and secure driving experience. The 2024 Swift recently secured a 4-star rating in the J-NCAP and the Dzire is also expected to perform similarly.
In terms of power, the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine, mated to a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. This is one of the aspects that it will share with the Swift. Initially we will have only a petrol version. The S-CNG variant will be launched later.
Maruti Suzuki is trying to introduce a fresh Dzire that does not look like a Swift with a boot. It will have a certain degree of distinction, which will be a plus for people considering a sedan instead of a hatchback.
