Maruti Suzuki launched the new-generation swift in the Indian market at the starting price of INR 6.49 lakh ex-showroom. The hatchback comes with a new design, new equipment on the inside and also a new more efficient engine. Now in its fourth-generation, the new Swift also claims a mileage of 25.75 kmpl making it 14% more efficient than its predecessor.

Powering the fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift is a Z12E 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine. The naturally-aspirated petrol engine produces 81.58 PS of power and 111.7 Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki claims that the new engine which has lost one cylinder and also some power and torque offer more efficiency. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift comes with new features such as LED headlamps and Taillamps. The car also get LED DRLs but the turn indicators are of the halogen type. The car also comes with Automatic headlamps but no rain sensing wipers are offered. The car also comes with a new clamshell bonnet whose crease lines mingle well with the car. The Swift also gets dual tone alloy wheels.
The also comes with a 265-litre boot capacity as well as a 37-litre fuel tank. The hatchback also features a black theme on the inside and comes with a flat-bottomed steering wheel and fabric upholstery. Also, the Swift gets a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car also features an automatic climate control. Also, the new Swift now comes with 6-airbags as standard for safety.
