Maruti Suzuki has commenced accepting bookings for the upcoming new Swift in India. The 2024 new Swift comes with changes to its exteriors, its interiors as well as its powertrain. While the bookings are open, the brand has not yet revealed the new car. However, pictures of the new Swift sans camouflage have emerged on the internet, offering us all the details of the car.
Maruti Suzuki Swift – Exteriors
The spied images of the Swift appears to be parked at a carport. The images of the base model reveals that the car is likely to come with steel rims. However, the Swift will come with body coloured bumpers and black finish on the ORVMs. The radiator grille also appears to be black in colour with glossy accents. But, the door handles appear to be finished in black instead of the premium body colour, in the base variants. Even in its base variant, the Swift is likely to come with projector headlamps, LED DRLs but halogen indicators. A small shark-fin antenna can also be seen on top of the roof.
Maruti Suzuki Swift – Interiors
While only exterior pictures of the base variant were available, on the inside, the car could come with the same dashboard as the higher spec vehicle, but with less equipment. The Swift is likely to come with an island-style infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in higher spec variants. The base model could get a smaller screen and may not have connected features. Higher spec models are likely to come with automatic climate control, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, steering mounted controls with backlit etc.
Maruti Suzuki Swift – Engine
The Maruti Suzuki Swift is likely to come with a new Z12E engine. The 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine is likely to come with mild hybrid technology. Though the engine will have one cylinder less than the predecessor, it is likely to be equally powerful as well as more fuel efficient.
