The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been launched with prices starting at INR 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model is designed to offer a blend of affordability, advanced features, and top-notch safety, making it an attractive option for buyers in the sub-4 meter sedan segment.
Design and Features
The 2024 Dzire sports a refreshed design with a larger front grille, LED daytime running lights, and Y-shaped LED tail lamps. The interior is equipped with a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The top variant, ZXi Plus, includes premium features like a single-pane electric sunroof, rear AC vents, and a 360-degree camera.
Powertrain and Performance
Under the hood, the Dzire is powered by Maruti’s latest 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 82 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque. In the S-CNG mode it produces 67 horsepower and 101.8 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or an Automated Gear Shift (AGS – not applicable for CNG) gearbox, catering to different driving preferences. The petrol manual version offers a mileage of 24.79 km/l, while the AGS variant achieves 25.71 km/l.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Pricing
Prices for the new Dzire begin at INR 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base LXi variant and go all the way up to INR 9.69 lakh for the ZXi+ manual transmission. For the AGS, prices start at INR 8.24 lakh for the VXi and INR 10.14 lakh for the top ZXi variant. As for the S-CNG, the VXi is priced at INR 8.74 lakh and the ZXi is priced at INR 9.84 lakh.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Safety and Ratings
The 2024 Dzire has received a 5-star rating for adult occupant protection and a 4-star rating for child occupant safety in the Global NCAP crash tests, making it Maruti’s first model to achieve this high level of safety. The sedan is equipped with dual front airbags, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control (ESC) for enhanced safety.
The new Dzire is set to compete with popular models like the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor.
