2024 KTM 250 Duke revealed, brand new bike

KTM has revealed the 2024 line-up in the global markets. As part of the unveiling, the Austrian bike maker has revealed the 2024 250 Duke. Just like its big brother, the 390 Duke, the smaller bike comes with a host of upgrades including cosmetic and hardware-wise.

What’s new in the 2024 KTM 250 Duke?

While KTM has not yet revealed the detailed information about the bike, we can figure out some of the details of this motorbike. We can notice that the smaller Duke gets a new trellis frame made of aluminium subframe that looks similar to the one from the 790 Duke. Further, there are no panels at the back, giving the rear only an exposed sub-frame.

The rear suspension duties are handled by a new setup. It gets a banana-type swing arm with an off-set monoshock. Possibly the bike is riding on lightweight alloys and new disc brakes as well.

In terms of looks, the same family treatment as other bikes continues. The 2024 KTM 250 Duke gets pointy fuel tank extensions, split LED headlamp and new paint scheme.

Feature-wise, the bike is offered with a new display unit. This could be TFT and offer Bluetooth connectivity and display more information on the screen that before.

Powertrain of the 2024 KTM 250 Duke

KTM is likely to carry the same engine forward. Thus, it continues with the same 248.76cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine that makes 30 PS and 24 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Pricing of the 2024 KTM 250 Duke

Currently, KTM sells the 250 Duke in India for INR 2.38 lakh, ex-showroom. When the new model is launched, it is likely to carry a higher price tag. It seems KTM is aiming for a launch sometime early next year. This new model will ensure a wide range of portfolio for customers to choose from and offer KTM a chance to sell bikes in multiple segments.
