KTM has finally taken the wraps off the 2024 KTM 390 Duke. The bike has been unveiled in the international markets. The 3rd-generation motorcycle comes with an all-new design and also gets an improved engine.
What’s new in the 2024 KTM 390 Duke?
For starters, the Austrian bike maker has done quite a lot of changes as compared to the outgoing model. At the front, the LED headlamp is now wider and the LED DRLs look quite aggressive.
Meanwhile the tank shrouds are now bigger and extend quite further. The tank’s design has been tweaked as well. All these changes have resulted in the bike looking much more sculpted. The seat design is a split-type and the sub-frame at the back remains exposed.
From a glance, we can notice that the 2024 KTM 390 Duke is bigger than the outgoing model.
Hardware on the 2024 KTM 390 Duke
The trellis frame is now power coated. KTM has equipped the 2024 390 Duke with 43mm upside down front forks at the front and a rear monoshock. The front shock absorbers get rebound and compression adjustment while the monoshock comes with preload and rebound adjustment.
Braking setup consists of a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc. There is dual channel, cornering and SuperMoto ABS. KTM has equipped the bike with 17-inch alloys shod with Michelin tyres.
The rider can see the detailed information on a 5-inch TFT display. It also gets smartphone compatibility, turn by turn navigation and call/music controls.
Powertrain of the 2024 KTM 390 Duke
KTM debuted the larger 399cc motor with the 2024 390 Duke. The bike maker has not yet revealed the numbers, but safe to say, it will be more than the current bike. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and a quickshifter as well.
Other rider aids include three ride modes (street, rain and track), launch control and more.
2024 KTM 390 Duke launch in India
While the bike has only been launched internationally, it will soon make its way to our shores. An official announcement could be expected soon and in terms of pricing, we can expect a bump up as compared to the outgoing model.
