Honda Cars India Ltd. has officially revealed the design sketches of the upcoming 3rd generation Honda Amaze, marking a significant update for the popular compact sedan. The sketches provide a glimpse into the bold and modern design that Honda aims to bring to the market with this new model.
Honda Amaze: A Fresh Design Approach
The new Amaze features a bold front fascia with a hexagonal grille pattern, reminiscent of global Honda design cues. The sleek LED projector headlights, integrated with repositioned LED DRLs, lend the sedan an upscale and confident look. The sculpted bonnet with pronounced creases adds a muscular appearance, setting the Amaze apart in the sub-4 meter sedan segment.
Interior Upgrades
Inside, the 3rd generation Amaze promises a luxurious and driver-centric cockpit. The dual-tone dashboard features a free-standing infotainment screen and a semi-digital instrument cluster, inspired by the Elevate SUV. The cabin is designed to offer a spacious and refined experience, with features like automatic climate control, cruise control, Type C charging ports, wireless charger, and a cooled glove box.
Performance and Powertrain
The new Amaze is expected to retain the 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which delivers 90 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox. This setup aims to provide a balance of performance and fuel efficiency, catering to the needs of modern Indian consumers.
Market Positioning
The 3rd generation Amaze is set to compete with popular models like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura. Honda aims to reinforce its standing in the compact sedan segment by offering a model that combines elegance, sportiness, and practicality. The new Amaze is designed to appeal to both private individuals and commercial fleet operators, building on its legacy of reliability and value.
Honda Amaze: Launch Timeline
The New Honda Amaze is set to launch on December 4. This comes in within a month of the new Dzire that is being launched today. We are estimating that deliveries will commence in January.
