Force Motors has announced the prices of its all-new 2024 Force Gurkha. The vehicle, available in both 5-door and 3-door variants, was recently showcased to the media.
The ex-showroom pan India price of the 3-door variant (4-seater) is set at INR 16,75,000/-, while the 5-door (7-seater) variant is priced at INR 18,00,000/- (exclusive of TCS). Additional charges for accessories, road tax, registration, and insurance will be applicable as per norms.
Force Motors has confirmed that dispatches to Gurkha dealers, as listed on their official website, will commence this week. Test drives and deliveries to customers are expected to start from mid-May onwards. The company has also launched a new website for the Force Gurkha, where interested customers can book their vehicles by making a payment of INR 25,000 at the nearest Gurkha dealership.
The 2024 All-new Force Gurkha is powered by a 2.6 litre turbocharged intercooled diesel engine, delivering a power output of 140 PS and a peak torque of 320 Nm over a wide band from 1400 to 2600rpm. The improved power and torque output enables the vehicle to cruise on expressways at triple-digit speeds and easily navigate tricky off-road situations, outperforming any other vehicle in its class.
The All-new Force Gurkha’s capability has received a serious boost with a class-leading ground clearance of 233 mm, 18-inch wheels, 35-degree gradeability, and 700mm water-wading capability with the unique factory-fitted air intake snorkel. The new independent front suspension has been fine-tuned in line with the increased power to offer excellent ride quality both on highways and off the road.
The Force Gurkha also comes with fully locking mechanical differentials on both axles and Electronic shift-on-the-fly for effortless shifts into 4WD when the terrain gets rough. The All-new Force Gurkha retains the iconic and much-loved Mercedes Gelandewagen inspired design synonymous with its rugged character and extreme potential.
The All-new Gurkha is the most spacious vehicle in its class, offering a commanding driving position, panoramic all-round visibility, and the most comfortable seating for all occupants. It also features a new digital instrumentation cluster and a 9-inch Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto compatible touchscreen infotainment system.
The convenience features include electronically adjustable ORVMs, a start-stop function for improved efficiency, and high-intensity Force Pro-edge LED headlamps. Keeping the occupants safe is the all-metal body that is frontal crash-compliant, along with dual airbags, ABS, and EBD.
The 2024 Gurkha goes up against the 3-door Mahindra Thar and the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. Prices for the Thar 4WD start at INR 14.30 lakh and the Maruti Suzuki Jimny starts at INR 12.74 lakh. The 5-door Gurkha is much larger than the Jimny and can seat 2 extra passengers. The 5-door Thar Armada will be launched later this year when the two 4×4 giants will go head to head.
