2024 Citroen Basalt SUV Coupe variant-wise pricing revealed

Citroën India has officially revealed the prices of all the variants of the Basalt.  Starting at an introductory price of INR 7.99 lakhs, the Basalt is set to make a strong impression on Indian consumers, with deliveries beginning in the first week of September 2024 through Citroën’s 85 La Maison Phygital showrooms.

Engine Choices and Pricing

The Basalt offers a variety of powertrain options to cater to different driving preferences. Customers can choose between the 1.2 L Gen 3 PURETECH 110 turbocharged engine and the PURETECH 82 naturally aspirated engine. Transmission options include a 6-speed torque converter automatic and both 5-speed and 6-speed manual gearboxes. The Basalt is available in multiple variants, with prices ranging from INR 7.99 lakhs for the entry-level 1.2 NA YOU to INR 13.62 lakhs for the top-tier 1.2 TURBO AT MAX variant. Dual-tone options are also available for an additional INR 21,000.

Comfort and Space

Citroën’s reputation for comfort is evident in the Basalt, which boasts best-in-class cabin space and a leading wheelbase in its segment. The Advanced Comfort Cushion Suspension system ensures a smooth ride across various terrains, while the Smart Tilt Cushion with adjustable thigh support adds a new level of comfort, particularly on long journeys. The tropicalized auto AC, complete with rear vents, maintains a pleasant cabin climate, making the Basalt as comfortable on the inside.

Technology and Safety Features

The centerpiece of the interior is the 26 cm Citroën Connect Infotainment system, which supports Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ensuring seamless connectivity. The My Citroën Connect 2.0 system offers over 40 smart features, including remote engine start and geo-fencing, adding convenience and security.

Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Control, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Service Network and Customer Support

The brand’s aftersales network, L’Atelier Citroën, currently operates over 60 service centers across India, with plans to expand to 100 centers by the end of the year and 150 by 2025. Citroën’s Service on Wheels program further enhances convenience by offering common repairs directly at the customer’s location, part of the brand’s promise to deliver ‘Comfort at Your Fingertips.’
