Tata Motors has finally taken the wraps off the new Nexon facelift. Bookings are set to commence from 4 September 2023. The updated SUV will be offered in four variants – Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless.
Taking inspiration from the Curvv concept, the Nexon Facelift has incorporated many design elements from the concept car. At the front, the car gets a new fascia with slim grille, split-design headlamp and L-shaped LED DRLs. The main beam lights are positioned in the bumper. Towards the back, Tata has extensively tweaked the rear design. The Nexon facelift comes with new LED tail lamps and these are connected by an LED light bar as well. The SUV rides on new dual-tone alloys.
On the inside, there is similarity with the Curvv Concept as well. There is a minimalist dashboard with an infotainment system and limited physical buttons. The driver gets a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo in the middle. There is a digital instrument cluster as well.
Some of the features on the car include ventilated front seats, sunroof, air purifier, 360 degree camera, wireless charger and more. Tata has also revised the HVAC console. It looks very different from the current Tata car’s AC controls. It is apparent that Nexon will be the first car to get this fresh control panel. It has a hybrid touch-sensitive interface.
Tata is offering a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel mill on the Nexon. The petrol is good for 118 BHP and 170 Nm, while the diesel is rated at 113 BHP and 260 Nm. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT and a 7-speed dual clutch transmission on the petrol. Meanwhile, customers opting for the diesel can choose from 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT.
