The upcoming Tata Nexon facelift is garnering quite a bit of excitement. Now, an image of what appears to be the interiors of the 2023 Tata Nexon has leaked online.
We can see that the insides are inspired by the Tata Curvv Concept. The overall cabin gets a minimalistic design with very few physical buttons. In the centre of the dashboard is a large 10.25-inch touchscreen unit. The driver gets a digital instrument cluster and the updated HVAC controls get haptic buttons.
Meanwhile, the Nexon’s three-spoke steering is now replaced by a two-spoke unit. The logo is backlit while the steering comes with a flat bottom design. Tata has also updated the gear lever and there is rotary dial for changing the different drive modes.
Tata is going to equip the new Nexon with a digital instrument cluster. This gets a blue theme with a circular display on the left side. The circular image could be for the speed along with the gear indicator. In terms of size, this unit appears to be larger than the 7-inch unit present in the Tata Safari.
Further, the new AC panel sits between two sets of touch controls. The top ones house the Sport mode, front and rear fog lamps, Eco mode, hazard lights, boot release, door lock, 360-degree camera and what appears to be an auto start/stop button. Notice that the hazard light switch comes with a different tactile pattern to ensure that the driver can activate it without taking eyes off the road.
Tata had showcased a new 1.2-liter petrol engine back at the 2023 Auto Expo. This motor gets a direct injector turbo technology. In terms of power output, it develops 125 HP and 225 Nm. Tata could offer this in the new Nexon Facelift.
That said, on the diesel front, Tata is likely to continue with the existing 1.5-liter diesel that churns out 115 HP and 260 Nm of torque. Tata could also launch this facelift in an all-electric guise.
