Tata Motors has recently unveiled the 2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift. This brings in substantial enhancements to both its exterior and interior. The electric vehicle now boasts an extended driving range, making it an attractive option for environmentally-conscious consumers in India.
The official pricing for the 2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift is set to be revealed on September 14, 2023. This coincides with the launch of the updated ICE (internal combustion engine) Nexon. Nevertheless, pre-bookings for the Nexon EV facelift have already commenced, with interested buyers able to secure a reservation by making an initial payment of INR 21,000 in India, either through authorised dealerships or online.
The 2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift will come in three trim levels: Creative, Fearless, and Empowered. Customers will have two variants: Medium Range and Long Range.
One of the standout features of this upgraded model is its extended driving range, which is now an impressive 465 kilometres on a single charge. This significant improvement will add to the vehicle’s appeal to potential buyers.
The exterior of the 2023 Tata Nexon EV has been extensively redesigned, drawing inspiration from the Curvv concept. Thus resulting in a futuristic appearance compared to its internal combustion engine counterpart. Prominent exterior elements include a split cluster design, full-width LED Daytime Running Lights, newly designed alloy wheels, connected LED tail lamps, a distinct front grille, and fresh front and rear bumpers.
Inside the cabin, the Nexon EV facelift has received updates to the dashboard and centre console. We see a notable upgrade to the larger 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the 10.23-inch screen found in the ICE Nexon. The infotainment system now includes capacitive climate controls, while a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster provides essential information to the driver. The steering wheel has also been reworked with a new two-spoke design and an illuminated logo.
In terms of equipment, the 2023 Tata Nexon EV facelift gets all the bells and whistles. It features an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera system, a nine-speaker audio system, six airbags for safety, electronic stability control, EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) with an auto hold function, ventilated front seats, cruise control, and even an air purifier.
This refreshed Nexon EV will face direct competition from the Mahindra XUV400 and MG ZS EV in the Indian electric vehicle market.
