Suzuki has unveiled the 2023 Hayabusa. As part of this, the motorcycle will now arrive in three new colours. These are Metallic Matte Black, Metallic Thunder Grey and Pearl White. Other than the colour options, there are no changes as such. The 2023 Hayabusa carries the same hardware and mechanicals as the current generation model. The Metallic Matte Black gets Glass Sparkle Black accents. Meanwhile, the Metallic Thunder Grey colour adds Candy Daring Red accents on the front end, side panel and seat cowl. The Pearl White shade complements the subtle touches of Pearl Vigour Blue brilliantly.
Powering the motorcycle is a 1,340cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine. The motor makes 188bhp and 150 Nm. The equipped gearbox is a six-speed gearbox. It also gets a two-way quick-shifter as a standard fitment. In terms of features, the motorcycle benefits from a six-axis IMU, ABS, five riding modes, launch control, ride-by-wire throttle, and cruise control. On the safety front, the motorcycle gets a traction control system, anti-lift control, engine brake control, an active speed limiter, RPM assist function, and also hill/slope control.
The current generation model has been a massive success in India, as is the case with the rest of the world. When the motorcycle went on sale in April 2021, Suzuki sold out the first lot of 101 units in just 48 hours. The motorcycle arrives in India via the CKD route, which also helps in putting on an aggressive price tag. The motorcycle comes with a price tag of INR 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The available colour options with the current generation model are Metallic Matte Sword Silver/ Candy Daring Red, Pearl Brilliant White/ Metallic Matte Stellar Blue, and Glass Sparkle Black/ Candy Burnt Gold.
Currently, if you go on to book the motorcycle via Suzuki India’s official India website, the booking won’t go through. You will get a pop-up notification that suggests the 3rd Generation Hayabusa is currently out of stock. Suzuki will update if there’s any update regarding the same as soon as possible.
