2023 Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Review

The Super Meteor 650 cruiser motorcycle is finally available in India. Royal Enfield has priced its flagship bike at INR 3.49 lakh onwards (ex-showroom). Apart from the bike, the company will also be introducing its range of accessories for the bike. This will make sure that every customer has something to personalize their bike with. Let us take a look at the review of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.

Engine of the Super Meteor 650

At the heart of this motorcycle is the Royal Enfield’s 648cc, parallel-twin, 4-stroke, air-oil-cooled, SOHC motor. We have experienced this engine on other RE bikes like the Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650. Coming to performance numbers, this engine belts our 47 PS of peak power @ 7,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 53.3 Nm @ 5,650 rpm. The engine sends this power to the wheels via a 6-speed gearbox.

Coming to riding this bike, the Super Meteor 650 bike has a typical feet-forward stance of a cruiser bike. Royal Enfield has equipped the bike with a 19-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheels. Tubeless tyres are shod on these rims. The bike also gets dual-channel ABS with a 320 mm disc at the front and a 300 mm disc at the rear.

Dimensions of the Super Meteor 650

In terms of dimensions, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 measures 1,500 mm in wheelbase, has 135 mm of ground clearance and measures 2,26 0mm in length, 890 mm in width and 1,155mm in height. The bike has a seat height of 740 mm along with a 15.7-litre fuel tank. The kerb weight of the Super Meteor 650 is 241 kg. The bike is based on an all-new tubular steel chassis. The front 43mm upside-down front forks offer 120mm travel, while the dual rear shock absorbers offer 101mm travel. Both of these are preload adjustable.

There are three variants of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. The Super Meteor Astral is priced from INR 3,48,900 ex-showroom, while the Interstellar variant has its prices starting from INR 3,63,900. The top-of-the-line Super Meteor 650 Tourer has been priced at INR 3,78,900. Colour options include Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Green, Interstellar Grey, Celestial Red tourer and Celestial Blue tourer.
