2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will get ‘Ride Modes’

Royal Enfield recently launched the Himalayan’s latest iteration in the form of the Scram411. Now the brand could be planning to add another Himalayan model, but this has a twist of its own. Rumours are that the new Himalayan motorcycle will likely come with a larger liquid-cooled powertrain. The bike also features Dakar Rally inspired styling and will be lighter in weight compared to the standard RE Himalayan. Spy shots in the past also suggest that the Himalayan will come with uprated suspension and brakes. However, the electronics package of the motorcycle was still under wraps, until now. 

2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – Ride Modes & Other Electronic Features

Sources report that the new Himalayan 450 is likely to come with ride-by-wire technology. The motorcycle is also likely to come with multiple riding modes, a vertically-stacked instruments cluster and OFF-Road ABS. The multiple riding modes on the new Himalayan 450 are likely to be Rain, Road and OFF-Road. The riding modes are also likely to be integrated with the ABS of the motorcycle, offering better control of the motorcycle.

The instruments console is also likely to be new and is likely to display a wide range of information. However, the display is not likely to be a full-colour TFT console like the 390 Adventure to keep the cost in check. The brand is also likely to include LED lights on the Himlayan 450 to keep up with the competition. The motorcycle is also likely to come with a large 20-litre fuel tank. 

2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – Technical Details

Powering the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is likely to be a 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor. The engine is likely to produce around 40 Hp of power, and the fairly squared-off motor is likely to make a good 45 Nm of twisting power. Speculation is that the Himalayan 450 is likely to come with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The brand is likely to house the engine in a steel trellis frame and offer the bike with an upside-down front suspension. The rear suspension unit is likely to be a monoshock, and the 450 is likely to ride on the 21-inch front, and 17-inch rear spoke wheels shod in specially developed CEAT off-road tyres.
