A new render of the highly anticipated 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has surfaced online. While this is not the actual bike, the render reveals that the Himalayan 450 looks quite ordinary.
In terms of design, the new larger displacement Himalayan looks similar to the regular Himalayan. However, the bike maker has incorporated some changes as well. The front gets a circular LED lamp, windscreen and a revised mudguard. The front suspension appears to be upside-down forks which offer better comfort than regular ones. Royal Enfield is offering wire-spoke wheels, which means the tyre could be of tube-type variety.
Further, the fuel tank appears to be larger and the bike gets a split-seat layout. There are multiple luggage mounts for a host of configurations like panniers, side boxes, top boxes etc. The Himalayan 450 will be positioned as a touring machine.
Royal Enfield has also updated the switchgear and the new Himalayan 450 could get updated controls. Keeping up with the times, the bike will get USB socket and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity as well.
The new Himalayan 450 is based on a new 450cc platform. This new platform will further spawn a host of other bikes. This new single cylinder engine is expected to be rated around 35-40 BHP and 40 Nm. The bike gets a 6-speed gearbox. The engine also comes with a liquid cooling option.
Royal Enfield has also been testing the official accessories for the adventure bike. These include a set of aux lamps and panniers. Owners will also be able to get a top box for additional storage on the Himalayan 450. All these are expected to make the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 a good tourer as well. Apart from these, there will also be a host lifestyle and branded accessories at the time of launch.
