Finally, MG has revealed the entire pricing of the MG Comet. Thus, the prices for all variants of the MG Comet small EV are now out. We were aware that the prices start from INR 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom). This is introductory pricing applicable for the first 5000 buyers. MG confirmed that the test drives of the model are already in progress from last month. Meanwhile, the bookings are set to open on 15 May and deliveries from May 22. Customers can have the EV in three variants. These are namely, Pace, Play and Plush. The mid-spec, Play will get a price tag of INR 9.28 lakh The top-spec will retail with a price tag of INR 9.98 lakh, which is the Plush trim. All prices mentioned are in the ex-showroom.
Talking of the colour options, the MG Comet EV is available in five colours. These are namely, Candy White, Starry Black, Aurora Silver, Candy White with Starry Black roof, and Apple Green with Starry Black roof. In addition to this, MG is also offering more than 250 customisation options.
In terms of features, the new MG Comet comes loaded to the gills. It gets twin-pod LED headlamps, 12-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, a reverse parking camera, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, LED light bars at the front and rear, keyless entry, 50:50 split rear seats, rear parking sensors, TPMS and more. The most highlighting feature is the two 10.25-inch screens on the dashboard that gets both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Propelling the Comet electric vehicle is a 17.3kWh battery pack matched with a motor, producing an output of 41 BHP and 110Nm of torque. MG claims a range of 230kms on a single full charge, with a 3.3kW unit being the sole charging option.
