2023 MG Astor / ZS EV facelift design leaked via patent

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Are you looking forward to getting an MG ZS EV? This news article will definitely interest you. The patent images of the upcoming facelift version of the MG Astor and its all-electric version, the ZS EV, have leaked online. An update for the SUV is long due, and we understand the work is already in progress. These images further testify to the above fact, and we could soon see the facelift update arriving on our shores.

What Are The Expected Changes?

With this update, MG Astor will most likely get a significant makeover. From the leaked images we get the first impression of the new front fascia. As apparent from the looks we see a new grille along with headlamp clusters. The bumper too has been reworked and now houses large intakes on either side.

The ZS EV will most likely get the same updates as well. But, for the front, it will use a blanked-out front grille as seen in the current model on sale. Alongside this, the electric version will also get a different set of alloy wheels, again the same as what we see with the current models. On the other hand, we believe there won’t be much change. And hence, the new model will look pretty identical to the outgoing model, at least from the side profile.

Current Models On Sale – Key Highlights

Currently, the MG Astor gets two engine options. First is the 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit that makes 138 BHP and 230 Nm. Second is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated motor that belts out 109 BHP and 144 Nm.

In India, the ZS EV uses a 50.3 kWh battery and an electric motor with an output of 174 BHP and 353 Nm. The battery comes with a certified range of 461 km on a single charge. MG claims a 0-100 km/h time of 8.5 seconds with the ZS EV.
