Good news for the ones looking to get the Mahindra Thar. Mahindra has finally brought in the Thar in a shade of white. We recently saw the Indian UV maker finally bring in the rear-wheel drive version a few weeks ago. But now, it seems like Mahindra is planning to give the white colour option to the Thar 4WD owners as well. In a social media post, Mahindra confirmed that customers can now get Thar 4WD in the Everest White colour option.
Thus, Mahindra confirmed that the Everest White colour scheme is now available for the four-wheel drive version too. And not just restricted to the rear-wheel drive version. Interestingly enough, the post is no longer available on the social media handle. We believe Mahindra had mistakenly uploaded this social media post. And now this has now been taken off the social media platform.
RWD Is Now A Option For Mahindra Thar
A few weeks ago, Mahindra brought in the RWD variants of the Thar. Customers can have the SUV in three hard-top variants – AX diesel manual, LX diesel-manual and LX petrol-automatic. At the time of its launch, the Thar RWD was available in the following colour shade options. This includes Rage Red, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, Blazing Bronze and Aquamarine Blue.
Out of these two colours, the Everest White and Blazing Bronze were brand new colours for the Thar nameplate. Thus they were not offered in the Thar 4WD. As of now we know of the availability of Everest White has been confirmed for the Thar 4WD. But the same is for the Blazing Bronze colour option, which Mahindra has not confirmed for the Thar 4WD.
Mahindra Thar Becomes Even More lucrative
With the RWD Thar, the SUV now has a lower entry-level price point. The price tag starts at INR 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). With the rear-wheel driver versions, the Mahindra Thar is now able to attract more customers to join the brand. In fact, it has become a niche alternative to all the sub-four metre compact SUVs priced in a similar price range.
