Mahindra sold 58,801 cars in February 2023; SUVs show 10% growth

Mahindra has released its sales figure for February. The carmaker sold over 30,000 SUVs for the given period. This figure translates to a growth of 9.74 per cent across UV segments. Thus the February 2023 sales report for Mahindra reveals a steady growth trend. In terms of sales difference, we saw an increase of 2,695 units sold from February 2022, up from 27,663 units. The overall passenger vehicle sales stood at 30,358 units.

Utility vehicles (UVs) continue to lead the sales with 30,221 units sold in February 2023. This compares to 27,551 units in February 2022, thus marking an almost 10 per cent increase. Meanwhile, the sales of cars and vans also showed significant growth with 137 units sold compared to 112 units sold in February 2022.

Mahindra Sales Feb 2023 Detailed Analysis

Comparing year-over-year (YoY) sales, Mahindra reported a consistent upward trend. This indicates a stable recovery for the passenger vehicle industry. However, this was not true for month-over-month (MoM) sales. The MoM sales fell by 8.12 per cent, down from 33,040 units. The total volume loss stood at 2,682 units.

Mahindra also witnessed a notable upward trend for YTD sales. Total passenger vehicles sold in the fiscal stands at 3,23,256. This is a 63at 63 per cent increase compared to the same period April to February. The year-to-date fiscal year 2023 shows that utility vehicle sales are witnessing a growth of 64 per cent, with 3,20,985 units sold. Meanwhile, the sales of cars and vans have also grown by 14 per cent with a total of 2,271 units sold during this period.

Mahindra Doing It All To Stay Ahead In The Market

Despite the positive market response, Mahindra is doing it all to stay ahead and focused on key issues. Mahindra is monitoring the supply chain. The availability of semiconductors is a critical aspect that is a factor for boosting production. Thus Mahindra continues to take important steps to address matters related to the supply chain.
