Written by Kanad Kalasur

KTM has taken the wraps off the latest iteration of the 890 Adventure. The bike gets a host of mechanical changes and some feature upgrades.

What’s new in the 2023 KTM 890 Adventure?

In terms of overall design, the bike has retained the shape and other elements from the outgoing version. The bike retains its stall stance as well as ADV posture. The headlights now get a regular look while the screen design has also been made more conventional. The front and side fairings now look like they are designed together rather than two different pieces. The wind deflector is more vertical and aims to reduce air buffeting. KTM has also provided a new guard made of alloy to protect the engine and fuel tank from impacts.

In terms of goodies, the 2023 KTM 890 Adventure gets a new 5-inch TFT display. Apart from the usual information, it also gets a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), smartphone connectivity, cruise control, traction control settings, and quick shifter as well.

While the frame of the bike is not new, the bike gets new 43mm WP Apex USD forks at the front. The rear features a WP Apex monoshock. Braking duties are handled by the same disc brakes on both ends. Both the rims get a wire-spoke design and are fitted with Pirelli Rally STR tyres. The front ones are 12-inchers while the rear ones are 18-inch in size.

Powertrain of the 2023 KTM 890 Adventure

KTM has retained the same 899cc LC8c parallel-twin engine. In terms of specifications, this engine puts out a maximum power of 103 BHP and a peak torque of 100 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Pricing of the 2023 KTM 890 Adventure

While the pricing has not yet been disclosed yet, expect the motorcycle to cost a fair bit more than the outgoing version. The previous model was priced at GBP 10,440, which translates to INR 10.19 lakh.
