KTM has launched the 390 Duke at INR 3.11 lakh. Meanwhile, the TVS Apache RTR 310 has a price of INR 2.43 lakh. Both prices ex-showroom.

KTM 390 Duke Vs. TVS Apache RTR 310 : Specifications

While all details on the KTM have not yet been revealed, we know that the bike has a wheelbase of 1,354 mm and a seat height of 800mm. The fuel tank can hold 15 litres of fuel and the kerb weight is 168 kg.

In comparison, the TVS Apache RTR 310 has a wheelbase of 1,358 mm and the seat height is 800 mm as well. The kerb weight of the Apache RTR 310 is 169 kg, while the fuel tank measures 11 litres.

Coming to the suspension setup, the KTM comes with a 43mm WP APEX Upside down forks and a rear adjustable monoshock. While the front suspension is adjustable for compression or rebound, the rear gets preload and rebound adjustment. Brakes consist of a 320 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm unit at the back.

On the Apache RTR 310, there is 41mm upside down front fork and a preload adjustable rear monoshock. The bike gets a 300 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the back.

Both of these are offered with dual-channel ABS as standard.

Powertrains : KTM 390 Duke Vs. TVS Apache RTR 310

The KTM’s 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine develops 44.25 BHP and 39 Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. This gearbox is offered with a quick shifter and a slipper clutch. KTM has also added a bunch of rider aids on the new 390 Duke. These include launch control, ride modes like Street, Rain and Track, and more.

Meanwhile, the Apache comes with the same engine as the RR 310. This 312.2cc single-cylinder gets liquid cooling. It develops 35 BHP @ 9,700 rpm and 28.7 Nm @ 6,650 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed transmission. This gets a slipper and assist clutch too. TVS has claimed a top speed of 150 km/h.
