Kawasaki has just unveiled the 2023 Ninja H2 SZ at the 2022 EICMA Show in Italy. The sports tourer now gets auto high beam.
The Ninja H2 SX now gets twin radars which will also give the bike adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and blind spot alert. Apart from this, the 6.5-inch colour TFT display can be connected with the Kawasaki Rideology app.
The bike also comes with keyless ignition, LED lights, TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system) and a Hold assist that can help with starts on inclines.
The main feature, however, that is the most exciting is the Auto High Beam. A light sensor will inform the computer in the bike when the high beam is required. It will then trigger the high beam automatically. On-board cameras will be used to detect street lights and oncoming headlights of other vehicles to determine when to turn on the high beams. This feature is said to be super valuable for those who tour long distances on bikes, especially at night.
The company will also be bringing the SE variant for 2023. It will feature KECS – Kawasaki Semi-Active Electronically Damped Suspension with Skyhook. To differentiate from the regular version, Kawasaki will also offer a different colour option.
Kawasaki will offer the Ninja H2 SX in Metallic Diablo Black, while the Ninja H2 SE will come with a choice of Emerald Blazed Green, Metallic Diablo Black or Metallic Graphite Gray.
The rider must put the dimmer / pass switch to high beam, and the bike must be travelling at a speed greater than 20 km/h. Of course, it should be dark outside as well. When the system gets engaged, a tell-tale green sign will appear on the 6.5-inch multifunction display.
Kawasaki has said that the bikes will be available from February or March next year. Pricing details have yet to be announced. There has yet to be a word on the India launch as well.
