Looks like Hyundai is gearing up to launch the 2023 Hyundai Verna in India soon. This time, the test mules have revealed some interior details of the car. Hyundai Verna will head against the likes of the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia.
2023 Hyundai Verna to come with dual screen
The spy images reveal the fact that there are not one, but two screens on the dashboard. One of these is the touchscreen infotainment system while the second is for the driver’s instrumentation cluster.
What’s new on the 2023 Hyundai Verna?
Earlier spy images have confirmed the presence of ADAS technology. If not on all the variants, at least the top-end would feature the safety system.
One of the test mules appeared to be of the N-line variant. This means Hyundai could offer something for everyone with the new Verna. The N-line variant was sporting dual-tone alloy wheels, similar to the ones of the Venue N-line. This caraint could also get a more powerful and sporty engine amongst the powertrain offerings of the vehicle.
In terms of visual design, the Verna is very close to the larger sibling – the Elantra. The 2023 Verna comes with a wide front grille, slim headlamps on both sides and the Sensuous Sportiness design theme. The Verna now gets a coupe-like roofline and similar tail lamps as of the Elantra.
2023 Hyundai Verna powertrain options
Coming to the engine choices, Hyundai could continue to offer the 1.5-litre NA petrol, a 1.4-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. While stricter emission norms have ensured a slow death for the diesels, Hyundai would be modifying its diesels to meet the stricter emission norms. For gearbox duties, Hyundai could offer a 6-speed manual, a CVT for the NA petrol, a 6-speed automatic and a DCT gearbox as well.
