Finally, the wait is over. The all-new 2023 Hyundai Verna is here to take the sedan segment by storm. In this price comparison post, we pit the Verna against the much-in-demand Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
Verna is available with a total of 4 trims namely, EX, S, SX, and SX(O). Meanwhile, for the Honda City too, customers can have in 4 trims namely, SV, V, VX, and ZX. For the Ciaz, Maruti Suzuki is also offering 4 trims namely, Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.
Prices for the Verna start from INR 10.89 lakh. But, this is introductory pricing as mentioned by Hyundai. For a manual 1.5-litre naturally aspirated motor, customers have 4 trims, EX at INR 10.89 lakh, S at INR 11.95 lakh, SX at INR 12.98 lakh and SX(O) at INR 14.66 lakh. For one’s looking to get the automatic with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated motor, they have two options. SX at INR 14.24 lakh, and SX(O) at INR 16.19 lakh. The ones looking at 1.5 Turbo-petrol MT, also have two options. SX at INR 14.84 lakh and SX(O) at INR 15.99 lakh. Then we have the 1.5 Turbo-petrol AT which has two options, SX at INR 16.08 lakh and SX(O) at INR 17.38 lakh.
Prices for the Honda City are as follows. For the manual gearbox option, we have SV at INR 11,49,000, V at INR 12,37,000, VX at INR 13,49,000, and ZX at INR 14,72,000. For the CVT gearbox option, we have V at INR 13,62,000, VX at INR 14,74,000, and ZX at INR 15,97,000.
For the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the manual prices are as follows. Sigma for INR 9,19,500, Delta for INR INR 9,83,500, Zeta for INR 10,19,000 and lastly Alpha for INR 10,98,500. For the automatic gearbox option, we have Delta at INR 11,03,500, Zeta at INR 11,39,000, and Alpha at INR 12,18,500.
