We are aware of the fact that Hyundai is bringing in its updated Verna. But, we already have some undisguised images of the interiors of the sedan. Bookings are currently open and can customers can book their interest by paying a token amount of INR 25,000. New Verna could retail in the price range of INR 10 lakh to INR 19 lakh.
What Is The New Verna Like?
Upon close scrutiny of the touchscreen infotainment, digital console, and steering wheel of the New-gen Verna. We can very much conclude that the 2023 model looks much sportier. There are some cues that indicate that some level of design inspiration has been taken from the Hyundai Elantra. One of the key highlighting points of the Verna is the horizontal LED positioning lamps and full-width LED DRLs.
This is a segment-first feature that adds to overall Verna’s outlook. Other notable features of the new-gen Verna include multi-barrel LED headlights and a parametric grille design. The side profile too looks quite striking, distinguishable with its sculpted panelling and intense character lines. At the rear, the new Verna equips edgy tail lamps with an LED light bar. In terms of dimensions as well the Hyundai Verna Being is longer, wider and with a longer wheelbase. In fact, the new Verna will also have a boot space of 528 litres, making it the biggest among all mid-size sedans.
Other premium features available with the new-gen Verna include an integrated 10.25-inch HD audio video navigation system and digital cluster. Customers will also appreciate the 8-speaker Bose premium sound system. ADAS is also on offer with the new Verna.
Engine Options On Offer
As for the engine, the Verna gets a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol motor. It is the most powerful in the mid-size sedan segment, making 158 BHP of max power and 253 Nm of peak torque. As for the gearbox options, we get a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. The second engine on offer is the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It makes 113.4 BHP and 144 Nm and is available either with a 6-speed manual transmission or intelligent variable transmission (IVT).
