Soon after the launch of the facelifted i20 in India, Hyundai has launched the updated i20 N Line. This hot hatch is now available in two variants – N6 and N8. The prices for the car vary from INR 9.99 lakh – INR 12.32 lakh, ex-showroom.
The car remains identical to the outgoing model save for some cosmetic enhancements on the outside.
However, the main update is that Hyundai has now replaced the 6-speed iMT transmission with the regular 6-speed manual gearbox. Engine wise, the new i20 N Line is offered with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor good for 120 HP and 172 Nm. Customers can also choose the 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Uniquely, for customers preferring this turbo petrol engine, the N Line is the only option as Hyundai no longer offers this engine with the regular i20.
Overall, the i20 N Line retains differences like improved suspension, rear disc brakes and a sporty exhaust note compared to the standard i20.
The i20 N Line has been designed to stand apart from the regular car thanks to its different bumper, parametric grille and the front splitter. The car also gets N Line badging on the front and sides.
Hyundai is offering 16-inch alloys in a different design on the N Line along with red brake callipers. Customers can choose from six paint options while dual-tone shades are optional extras.
The insides come with N Line badging and red accents. There is red ambient light as well as metal finished pedals, leather steering wheel and gearknob as well.
Other features include a digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charger, cruise control, automatic climate control, sunroof and a 7-speaker Bose sound system amongst others.
