Hyundai has launched its latest SUV in India. The sub 4m SUV will sit below the Venue in the company line-up and head against the likes of the Tata Punch and the Citroen C3. The Exter will come in 7 variants – EX, EX(O), S, S(O), SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect. Prices start from INR 5,99,900 and go upto INR (ex-showroom). Meanwhile the AMT starts from INR 7,96,890 and the CNG comes in from INR 8,23,990.
The Exter measures 3,815 mm long, 1,710 mm wide and 1,631 mm high. It has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. The exteriors get a rugged theme overall. There are sharp crease lines and black cladding all around. The wheel arches are flared and get a square shape.
The front comes with H-shaped LED DRLs and square headlamps placed down in the bumper. The rear too gets the similar H-themed. The brake lights get this design and the rear bumper comes with a silver skid plate. The Exter comes with a dual tone roof as well as roof rails and rides on 15-inch alloys.
On the inside, the Exter looks similar to the Grand i10 Nios and the Aura. The all-black dashboard houses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets a dual-tone upholstery in black and green. The Exter will also come with an automatic climate control, sunroof and connected car features. The SUV also gets voice commands and OTA software updates.
In terms of safety features, the Exter gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC and Hill Start Assist Control, 3-point seatbelts for all and more.
