Hyundai has released the official images of the upcoming Exter SUV’s interiors.
The first thing that one can notice is the similarity with the Grand i10 NIOS as the Aura. The Exter comes with a black dashboard with patterning on the top area. There is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with physical buttons on both sides. The driver gets a 3-spoke steering with multifunction buttons. There is also a digital instrument cluster.
The infotainment unit gets both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and in-built navigation. The Exter will also come with an automatic climate control, sunroof and connected car features. The Exter also gets voice commands and OTA software updates.
On the outside, the new 2023 Hyundai Exter gets H -shaped LED DRLs. They are located below the bonnet shut line. Then, there are the projector headlamps with chrome accents in a square shape. The bumper houses plenty of horizontal lines while the bonnet is a typical SUV style flat bonnet.
Hyundai also offers body cladding all around, giving the Exter a beefy SUV look. There are LED turn indicators on the ORVMs while the A & B pillar blacked out with a little black on the C pillar as well.
The Hyundai Exter shared its platform with the Grand i10 NIOS and Aura. Hence it will get the same 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine. It is offered with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. Hyundai is also offering a CNG option with the Exter.
Hyundai has already opened the bookings for the Exter and prices are expected to be announced next month.
The Exter will compete with the likes of Tata Punch and the Citroen C3.
