2023 Honda Shine 100 launched at INR 64,900

Honda’s Shine product brand has now entered the 100cc segment to rival the likes of Hero MotoCorp Splendor. The new 2023 Honda Shine 100 has been launched at an introductory price tag of INR 64,900 ex-showroom Mumbai. The motorcycle deliveries will begin in a few weeks from now. This is an all-new motorcycle, with an all-new engine. Honda has given more focus on reliability, with 12 patent applications.

This is the most affordable Honda motorcycle now available in the Indian market.

Honda Shine 100 Colours & Warranty:

Honda’s new Shine 100 will be available in a total of 5 colour options which includes black with red, black with blue, black with green, black with gold & black with grey. So the base colour is black. Honda will be offering a special 6-year warranty package which results in 3 years standard + 3 years of optional extended warranty.

Honda Shine 100 Engine & Mileage:

Powering the Honda Shine 100 is an all-new 99.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, OBD2 compliant, PGM-FI motor which produces 5.6 kw of peak power and 8.05 Nm of peak torque. The bike has an external fuel pump placed outside the petrol tank, for ease of maintenance. The engine also has an automatic choke system for smooth start in all weather conditions. For better thermal efficiency, the engine has a piston cooling jet for better lubrication.

Honda has not revealed the fuel efficiency number, but claims best-in-class mileage with the Shine 100. Also, this motor is E20 compliant, so future ready.

Honda’s new Shine 100 is built around an all-new diamond frame chassis riding on telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorbers.

Honda Shine 100 Features:

Now this is a very budget friendly, low cost, commuter segment motorcycle. So nothing fancy here. You get alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, but no disc brakes. No LED lighting either. The twin pod speedometer cluster also has a speedometer & a fuel gauge, but no digital display. The Shine 100 has a long and comfortable 677 mm seat, narrow leg opening angle, 786 mm of seat height, combi-brake system with equalizer, 1245 mm of wheelbase, 168 mm of ground clearance, 1.9 meters of turning radius, side-stand engine cut-off, long stroke suspension for comfort and simple body decals.
