Honda has brought in massive updates to its entire big bike line-up for international markets including the CB500X for 2023. As part of this, the CB500X now comes with a new colour option called Pearl Organic Green. This colour features on the fuel tank and on the front fender as well. Combined with black and light yellow, the overall motorcycle with colour shade looks quite striking. In addition to the new paint, the motorcycle also now gets updated braking hardware and suspension setup. Thus the CB500X rides on Showa SF-BPF at the front and twin 296cc disc brakes that replace the single 310cc unit on the outgoing model.
However, other than this, the CB500X remains pretty much the same. It uses the 499cc, parallel-twin engine that we also see in the CB500F and CBR500R available internationally. This engine is matched to a six-speed gearbox that features an assist and a slipper clutch mechanism. This CB500X tips the weighing scale at 199 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 17.7 litres.
The ADV tourer gets a rugged design giving it a distinctive ADV outlook. It also gets modern features such as full-LED lighting and a negative LCD instrument cluster. Apart from the standard data, the display also shows riding statistics like gear position indicator, engine temperature indicator, and ABS indicator. The motorcycle also gets Emergency Stop Signal and Honda Ignition Security System. The Honda CB500X is available in three colour options – Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic and now Pearl Organic Green.
The Honda CB500X will rival the likes of the Kawasaki Versys 650, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, and the Benelli TRK 502. The motorcycle will retail via Honda’s premium big bike dealerships across India.
