Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2023 Xtreme 160R 4V bike in India. The motorcycle is offered in three variants – Standard, Connected and Pro. Hero has updated the Xtreme 160R with few upgrades both visually and mechanically. Coming to the design of the bike, the 2023 Xtreme 160R 4V now comes with an updated LED headlamp and LED DRL. This is more sharper than before. The bike comes with a muscular fuel tank, split-style seats and a sleek rear tail. Hero is offering this new bike in three colours – Matte Slate Black, Neon Night Star and Blazing Sports Red.
The 2023 Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 160R 4V also gets a new digital instrument cluster along with a host of connected features.
In terms of hardware, the Pro version of this bike rides on KYB upside down front shock absorbers and an adjustable rear monoshock. The standard version gets conventional shocks at the front. Braking duties are handled by a 276 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc / 130 mm drum in the back. The bike rides on 17-inch alloys shod in 100/80-front and 130/70-rear section tyres.
The Connected variant is nothing but the Standard variant with added connected features.
Hero now offers a 4 valve engine compared to the earlier bike’s 2 valve configuration. The 163 cc oil-cooled engine develops 16.6 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 14.6 Nm @ 5,500 rpm. This engine has been paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Hero also claims that the Xtreme 160R 4V is the lightest bike in its class with an oil-cooled motor.
The 2023 Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 160R 4V will head up against the likes of Bajaj Pulsar N160, NS160 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
