2023 BMW M2 launched in India at INR 98,00,000

BMW has launched the 2023 M2 in India. Prices start from INR 98 lakh, ex-showroom. The highlight of the car is availability of a manual transmission.  This makes it one of the rare performance cars where the manufacturer offers the option of a manual transmission option.

What’s new in the 2023 BMW M2?

Back in October 2022, the 2nd-generation BMW M2 made its debut. On the outside, it gets a revised kidney grille and triple air vents in the front bumper. The headlights get sleep LED DRLs and are unoffensive. There are new tail lights as well as quad exhaust tips at the back. In terms of wheel sizes, the German car maker has equipped the M2 with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. These wheels fill up the wheel arches completely.

Updates on the inside of the 2023 BMW M2

Changes on the inside are less as compared to the outside. The BMW M2 comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster along with a 14.9-inch infotainment unit. The 2-door car also gets M Sport seats that are adjustable, M seat belts and a head-up display. The sportscar also comes with BMW’s iDrive OS8 system.

Powertrain of the 2023 BMW M2

The M2 comes with a 3.0-litre, twin-turbo inline-six petrol engine. This motor also powers the M3 and the M4. However, in the M2, this engine is slightly detuned as compared to them. The specs of the engine in the M2 read as 453 BHP and 550 Nm. Owners can choose from a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The 0-100 km/h time is claimed to be 4.1 seconds while the top speed is 250 km/h. By opting for the optional M Driver’s Package, this top speed increases to 285 km/h.

Other hardware on the car includes adaptive suspension, M Sport Differential, M high-performance brakes and different engine and chassis modes.
