2022 Yamaha XSR155 retro bike revealed

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has announced the launch of its updated 2022 XSR155, exclusively for the Indonesian market. Yamaha has also decided to offer a brand new 60th-anniversary colour scheme as part of the update for the XSR155. The XSR155 first made its debut at the Thailand Motor Expo, attracting a wide customer base thanks to its retro design. The brand will not likely introduce the new XSR155 in India even though there is a strong preference for naked bikes.

2022 Yamaha XSR155: Design Details 

The updated 2022 XSR155 retains its signature, round LED headlamp and LED taillight with a long yet contoured heritage seat. Meanwhile, the 60th Anniversary colour scheme on the XSR155 showcases the iconic red speed block design with a white base colour. Additionally, the colour scheme also adds golden wheels that complete the look and complement the golden forks.

Yamaha has also added a new Matte Dark Blue Authentic paint scheme for the XSR155 that features blacked-out components. The bike’s new colour scheme also includes retro-style ‘XSR’ graphics on the fuel tank whilst retaining the original colours. Along with 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends, the bike features a uniquely-styled exhaust and dual-purpose tyres.

2022 Yamaha XSR155: Technical Specs & Features

Powering the new 2022 XSR155 is a 155c, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder motor, producing 19.3 PS and 14.7 Nm. Yamaha offers the engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox with a wet, multi-plate, assist and slipper clutch. The engine comes with 4-valves and variable valve actuation. The XSR155 also comes with a 10.4-litre fuel tank and 810mm of seat height.

For enhanced handling and comfort, the XSR155 sports inverted, telescopic front forks and a link-type monoshock rear suspension. Yamaha has ensured to equip the new XSR155 with disc brakes at both ends and single-channel ABS for improved braking. The updated 2022 XSR155 also sports a full LCD, Digital Speedometer that displays a gear shift indicator for the rider.
