Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has unveiled its newest 2022 FZS-Fi under its ‘The Call of the Blue’ initiative. India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd (IYM) launched the FZS-Fi with refreshed styling updates and features along with a new variant. Known as the FZS-Fi Dlx, IYM will offer both bike models from the 2nd week of January 2022. Yamaha states that both bike versions retain the same design proportion from the 3rd generation FZ-Fi series.
2022 Yamaha FZS-Fi: Design & Price Details
Yamaha has equipped the standard 2022 Yamaha FZS-Fi with brand new LED taillights and LED flashers on the Dlx variant. Yamaha offers the Dlx variant of the FZS-Fi with three new colours- Metallic Black, Metallic Deep Red, and Solid Gray. The Dlx variant also features brand new graphics, coloured alloy wheels, and a two-level single seat with dual-tone colours.
Meanwhile, Yamaha offers the standard FZ-S Fi variant with two new colours- Matt Red and Matt Blue. IYM has priced the Dlx variant at INR 1,18,900 (ex-showroom) and FI at INR 1,15,900 (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the dual-tone seat option for the Dlx variant is only available in Metallic Black and Metallic Deep Red colours.
2022 Yamaha FZS-Fi: Powertrain and Features
Powering both variants of the FZS-Fi is a 149cc, air-cooled motor which produces 12.4 PS and 13.3 Nm. Yamaha has paired the SOHC, 4-stroke, 2-valve engine to a constant mesh, 5-speed manual gearbox, and an electric starter. For comfort and handling, the bikes feature a telescopic front suspension and a 7-step adjustable monocross rear suspension. With 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends, the bikes sport a 790mm seat height and 165mm of ground clearance.
Yamaha has equipped the bike with a single 282mm front brake disc and a single 220mm rear brake disc. Along with dual-channel ABS, both bikes also feature Yamaha’s Bluetooth-Enabled Connect-X App, including a host of convenient features. Riders can use the App to Answer Back calls, Locate the Vehicle, Record their parking & check their Riding History. Other bike features include a multi-function LCD instrument cluster, a tire-hugging rear mudguard, and a lowered engine guard.
