Written by Nizam Shaikh

Skoda recently revealed the design sketch of the upcoming Fabia hatchback. The brand now reveals the interior design sketch of the new-generation Fabia which comes with new and advanced features. Skoda has also revealed that the fourth-generation Fabia will make its debut in the first week of May 2021.

Skoda Fabia Interior Design Sketch

The fourth-generation Skoda Fabia is underpinned by the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Transverse Toolkit MQB-A0 platform. This makes the hot hatch 111mm longer and 48mm wider than the predecessor. The larger dimensions also translate to roomier interiors for both passengers and luggage. Now official design sketches reveal that the cabin features a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. The modern infotainment system features the latest media functions along with other vehicle functions.

The Skoda Fabia also comes with a customisable Virtual Cockpit instruments display. The key feature in Skoda latest generation models appears to come with a symmetrical design, like the rest of the dashboard. The dashboard fascia features a multilayered design with a wide central tunnel. A horizontal line runs across the dashboard fascia passing through the centre of the rounded air conditioning vents. The character line below the display also mirrors Skoda’s grille design. The centre console and door handles also get new coloured elements along with newly designed chrome door openers. The brand also reveals that the side of the instrument panel also comes with a new FABIA lettering.

The new-generation Fabia comes with a revised front fascia that gets sleeker LED headlamps and a sharper Skoda grille with double-vertical slats. The new bumper also comes with sharp features and actively adjustable cooling shutters to optimize aerodynamics and thermodynamics. The new model also comes with an aerodynamically designed elongated roof spoiler with side finlets. The hatchback also gets new design alloy wheels, C-shaped LED taillamp signatures with Skoda’s hallmark crystalline effect.

Powering the Skoda Fabia will be the Volkswagen Group’s new EVO generation engine family. The hatchback will come with multiple engine options ranging from 65 PS of power to 150 PS of power.
