MG, in the recent past, launched the new MG ZS EV facelift in the Indian market. The brand revealed that the MY22 MG ZS EV would come with a price tag of INR 21,99,800 ex-showroom. However, there is a catch! The price is for the Excite variant of the MG ZS EV, which will be available in the Indian market from July 2022 onwards. However, bookings for the top-of-the-line Exclusive trim are open, and customers can purchase the electric vehicle for INR 25,88,000 ex-showroom.
2022 MG ZS EV – Design and Features
The 2022 MG ZS EV comes with a striking new design on the front featuring a new blanked grille which is more pronounced than the predecessor. The electric car also comes with reprofiled front, and rear bumpers, as well as a revised headlamp and taillamp, LED cluster. On the inside, the new MG ZS EV features a unique leather layer dashboard, multifunction steering wheel and 7-inch full-digital instruments cluster. The 2022 MG ZS EV offers on-demand in-car services and subscriptions through CAAP (Car As A Platform). The brand is offering subscriptions such as JIO, Park+, MapMyIndia, and Shortpedia on the new MG ZS EV. The electric vehicle also comes with i-Smart 75+ Internet Connected car features.
2022 MG ZS EV – Safety Features
The car also gets a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. MG also offers automatic climate control air-conditioning with a PM 2.5 filtration and safety features such as 6-airbags, a 360-degree camera with rear-drive assist and hill descent control. The car also comes with a Digital Bluetooth key that allows the customers to drive without a physical key in exceptional cases.
2022 MG ZS EV – Powertrain
Powering the 2022 MG ZS EV is a large 50.3 kWh Advanced Battery Pack. The brand claims that the battery pack not only offers the highest global safety ratings and provides a claimed range of 461 km on a single charge. The battery pack is coupled to a 176 PS power electric motor. The motor is capable of propelling the 2022 Mg ZS EV from 0-100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds. Thanks to the electric powertrain, the MG ZS EV owners have saved approximately 70 lakh kgs of CO2, which is equivalent to planting 42,000 trees in the last two years. The MG zS EV also allows customers to track their CO2 emissions using the MG App.
