Sales and Figures
In terms of sales, the ZS EV stands second coming behind the Tata Nexon in terms of total units sold in the 2020 calendar year with about 1,243 units sold. In fact, the electric vehicle had racked up 2,300 bookings in just one month since this launch. But, it is also worthy of a mention that most of the bookings were done by corporate institutes, private companies and likes but had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. MG is expecting that the sales figure of the ZS EV to touch 3,000 units as the EV market in India is likely to hit 10,000 units by the end of 2021.
Other News and the Future Plans
Initially, the ZS EV was just offered in five cities and later it was expanded to 21 more cities. As per plans, MG is expecting to add 10 more cities under its network which will help increase the customer base and boost the sales of the electric vehicle. The launch of the long-range version will further draw a lot of customer attention and act as a tailwind in increasing the market share of MG in India. The price of the 2021 updated ZS EV starts at INR 20,99,800 lakhs (ex-showroom).
