The MG Hector, the brand’s first car in India, is scheduled to get an update this year. Sources suggest that MG could launch the updated Hector by the end of this year. Previously, MG updated the Hector with some subtle updates. However, this time around, the updates will be more significant. In addition to this, MG will also likely make various changes to the exterior and interiors.

2022 MG Hector First Teaser – What Do We See?

One of the biggest highlights of the new 2022 MG Hector will be its infotainment screen. The model made its debut with a portrait-style touchscreen and display and will continue to use a similar layout. However, it will be much bigger in size, 14-inch to be precise. MG also claims the 14-inch HD display will be India’s largest portrait infotainment system. MG says it will aim to enrich the customer experience by enabling indulgence. The interior’s concept will be ‘Symphony Luxury’. It aims to offer a cinematic and immersive experience. Complementing the experience will be the new portrait infotainment display.

2022 MG Hector – What Do We Know?

Reports of MG preparing a facelift are not new. And the latest teaser confirms that there has been quite some progress. As mentioned earlier, reports suggest MG will launch the 2022 MG Hector towards the end of this year. Apart from the new touchscreen, there are also reports of what we can expect from the SUV. According to a few sources, the 2022 Hector’s ‘Sharp’ variant could see a price hike of INR 2 lakh. Meanwhile, the top-end ‘Savvy’ variant could see a price hike of INR 2.5 lakh. The major contributor to the top-end variant’s price hike will be the inclusion of ADAS.

In India, MG’s Gloster was the first premium SUV to get Level 1 Autonomous Technology. At the same time, the Astor was the first SUV with Level 2 Autonomous Technology. As of now, we are not sure if Hector would get Level 1 or Level 2 Autonomous Technology. However, since the Hector slots above the Astor, it could get the latter.
