Mercedes-AMG has revealed the 2022 GT 4-Door Coupe in the international market. Last summer, the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe received an extensive update, and now the brand has extended the choice of wheels, upholstery, trim and exterior colours. In addition, Mercedes-AMG has also retuned the suspension, and the 4-Door Coupe is more comfortable and sportier.
With the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, the brand aims to reach out to new target groups that value individuality, therefore developing the profile as a “Performance Luxury” brand. The latest update also includes a widescreen cockpit and a new MBUX system, updates to the Driver Assistance systems, and AMG-specific functions. The brand also revealed that the new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe would be available in Europe by August 2021.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door comes with three new exterior colours – Spectral Blue Metallic, Spectral Blue Magno and Cashmere White Magno. With the new colour options, the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe now has five metallic colours, five matte colours and two solid colour options. In addition, the brand has also added a new AMG Night Package II to add to the sportiness of the car.
The 2022 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe now comes with an AMG-specific radiator grille in dark chrome and gets vertical slats. The car also features a black finish Mercedes Star on the rear and also the model designation logo. The same black finish also appears on the front wings. The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe also gets a new Night Package and Carbon Fibre Package combination.
The AMG GT 4-Door Coupe features a newly designed AMG Performance steering wheel with a distinctive twin-spoke design. In addition, the car features a new anthracite open-pore wood on the instruments panel and the door panels on the interiors. The open-pore wood also continues to the central console, where the panels also get a silver surround shadow.
The GT 4-Door Coupe also gets an optional panoramic roof and a new neva grey Exclusive Nappa leather trim. The AMG GT 4-Door Coupe also gets exclusive Nappa leather in titanium grey pearl/black with yellow contrast stitching on the interiors. Also available are fine exclusive Nappa leather in truffle brown/black in the STYLE finish. In addition, the brand also offers sienna brown, classic red, yacht blue, deep white and neva grey options.
The new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe features a reconfigured AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension. The suspension system a multi-chamber air suspension. The air suspension system comes with adaptive and electronically controlled adjustable damping. The damping system also comes with pressure limiting valves. The new suspension offers a balance between comfort and sportiness. The car also comes with unique 20-inch light-alloy wheels in a 10-twin-spoke design and sporty 21-inch forged wheels in a 5-twin-spoke design.
Powering the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder engine. The engine features an exhaust gas turbocharger and an electric compressor. The powertrain comes in two states of tune. The Mercedes-AMG GT 43 and Mercedes-AMG GT 43 4MATIC+ come with 367 Hp of power, and 500 Nm of torque and the Mercedes-AMG GT 53 4MATIC+ comes with 436 of power and 520 Nm of torque. The motor also comes with an additional power starter-generator which adds 22 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque.
