2022 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara launched at INR 10.45 lakh

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched its flagship offering, the Grand Vitara, at INR 10.45 lakh ex-showroom in the Indian market. The latest SUV from Maruti Suzuki will now be available from all the NEXA dealerships across the country. 

The 2022 Grand Vitara features NEXA’s signature “Crafted Futurism” design language, exciting powertrain choices, a striking exterior design, sophisticated interiors and a lot more. The SUV also comes with a host of segment-leading and segment-best features.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara – Variants, Pricing & Colour Options 

Variants

The 2022 Grand Vitara is available in two trim levels. The first one is the Smart Hybrid trim. This trim level is available with four variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Delta and variants above it are also available with an automatic gearbox. Additionally, the Alpha variant is also available with Suzuki AllGrip 4WD system, but with a manual transmission. The other trim is the Intelligent Electric Hybrid. This trim line is available in two variants – Zeta+ and Alpha+. The Intelligent Electric Hybrid is only available with an eCVT transmission.

Pricing

Prices for the Smart Hybrid range start at INR 10.45 lakh ex-showroom and tops out at INR 17.05 lakh ex-showroom. Meanwhile, prices for the Intelligent Electric Hybrid range start at INR 17.99 lakh ex-showroom and tops out at INR 19.65 lakh ex-showroom. The detailed variant pricing is as below –

In addition to this, the Intelligent Electric Hybrid also come with a special introductory package. This consists of an extended warranty till 5 years / 1 lakh km and a PRISTINE Genuine NEXA Accessory pack worth INR 67,000. 

Customers will also be able to own the all-new 2022 Grand Vitara through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe at an all-inclusive monthly subscription cost of INR 27,000.

Colour Options

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be available in a total of 9 colour options. These include 3 dual-tone and 6 monotone colour options. The monotone options include Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Chestnut Brown, Opulent Red and NEXA Blue.

On the other hand, the dual-tone options are – Arctic White/Black, Splendid Silver/Black and Opulent Red/Black. The dual-tone options are only available with the Alpha+, Zeta+ and Alpha variants.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara – Powertrain

The 2022 Grand Vitara is available with either a mild-hybrid powertrain or a strong-hybrid powertrain. Maruti Suzuki calls the mild-hybrid powertrain Smart Hybrid. It uses the company’s 1.5-litre K-series engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid technology. The Smart Hybrid’s output figures read as 103 PS and 136.8 Nm torque. The engine matched with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Alpha variant is also available with Suzuki’s AllGrip AWD system. However, this is not available with the automatic transmission.

On the other hand, the Intelligent Electric Hybrid uses a 1.5-litre engine with Dual Power System. This Toyota-sourced powertrain uses an IC engine as well as an electric motor. The self-charging strong hybrid has a total output of 115.56 PS and 122 Nm of torque. The powertrain is matched to an e-CVT transmission. The Intelligent Electric Hybrid, with its claimed 27.97 kmpl fuel efficiency, also boasts of being India’s most fuel-efficient SUV. Maruti Suzuki is also offering a standard warranty of 8 years / 1,60,000 km on the Li-ion battery pack.
