Kia India will soon be launching the new Kia Carens MPV in the Indian market. The brand has started rolling out the Carens MPV from the Anantapur production facility in Andhra Pradesh. The brand positions the Kia Carens as a new revolution in the MPV segment. The moniker itself is derived from two words, ‘Car and ‘Renaissance’. The company revealed that the Kia Carens offers Indian customers with all the bells and whistles they need from an MPV, and the car is versatile enough for everyday use as well as for family outings.
The Kia Carens MPV comes with features such as LED headlamps and taillamps, a progressive design and chunky 16-inch alloy wheels. The MPV also gets a 10.25-inch infotainment system along with a 4.2-inch digital instruments cluster. Kia offers first-in-class features such as ventilated seats in the front, wireless smartphone function, smart pure air purifier, Bose Premium sound system, and Kia Connect Next-Gen Connected Technology. The MPV also comes with Multi Drive Modes, Paddle Shifters and a skylight sunroof. The MPV comes with three-row seating with ONE-TOUCH EASY ELECTRIC TUMBLE SEAT in the second row.
Powering the Kia Carens MPC are three engine options – a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated Smartstream Petrol Engine with 6-speed manual transmission. A 1.4-litre Smartstream T-GDi Turbo-Petrol Engine with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. And a 1.5-litre CRDi VGT Diesel Engine with 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Kia offers the Carens with 6 airbags as standard. In addition to this, the MPV also comes with safety features such as ESC, VSM, HAC, DBC, ABS, BAS, All-wheel disc brakes, and Rear Parking Sensors. Furthermore, the brand offers the Kia Carens a tyre pressure monitoring system.
