Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki has unveiled the 2022 H2 SX sports touring bike with a host of new updates. Kawasaki has also added significant design changes for the H2 SX making it sportier and aggressive. With advanced electronics and sports touring ability, Kawasaki has priced the updated H2 SX at USD 27,500.
At the front, the bike features a brand new LED headlight along with an updated cowl that houses the radar. The bike sports an Emerald Blazed Green color scheme on the fuel tank, side panels, and rear tail section. Complimenting it further is the combination of the Metallic Diablo Black and Metallic Graphite Grey on various body panels. At the rear, the bike features a giant exhaust, LED taillight, and stylish integrated pillion grab handles.
Powering the H2 SX is the 998cc, liquid-cooled, in-Line four, supercharged engine which produces 200 PS and 137 Nm. Paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox, the bike features an assist & slipper clutch for smooth upshifts and downshifts. The 2022 H2 SX sports 43mm, KECS-controlled, inverted front forks and a new Uni-Trak monoshock suspension setup.
Along with 17-inch alloy wheels, the front suspension offers 119mm of travel whereas the rear offers 140mm of travel. Kawasaki has implemented a trellis high-tensile steel frame with a swingarm mounting plate on the new H2 SX. The bike sports an 836mm seat height and dual front 320mm brake discs with 4-piston Brembo calipers and KIBS (ABS). At the rear, the H2 gets a single 250mm brake disc with 2-piston calipers and KIBS (ABS).
As mentioned previously, Kawasaki has implemented brand new features for the H2 which include integrated riding modes and cornering lights. Additionally, the bike gets front and rear radar guidance, new grip heaters, and new wider seats for enhanced comfort. The bike also sports Kawasaki-specific rider-focussed features. These include Cornering Management Function, Traction Control, Launch Control Mode, a Quick Shifter, Engine Brake Control, and Intelligent ABS. Other safety features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Blind-Spot Detection.
